There is just something great about Girl bands that can rock and the noise pop band The Dum Dum Girls are definitely one of those bands that can get you on your feet! For awhile now their label Sub Pop, has kept the release of their album in the dark and a bit of mystery. However, today with special thanks to: Twitters We were alerted that the album release is no longer a secret! Thanks guys!
Fan Video: onafridayblog Subscribe On March 30th, the L.A. based, all girls, formerly? lo-fi (see below) outfit known as the Dum Dum Girls will look to make good on their recently signed contract with Sub Pop Records with the release of their debut full-length, I Will Be. As the Seattle based label explains, the 11-track, 30-minute effort was produced by Dee Dee and Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, The Raveonettes) and will see hear the quartet “neither lo-fi nor too polished.” Instead, “it’s a short tribute to love, fun and the classic pop form of the ’60’s girl groups and early punk rockers.” Sounds fun.
